This is our kitchen where we will try to find two kinds of fruits and talk about them! Take a plum and some blueberries from fruit bowl on the counter top! Hold up the plum and say :” plum”! Show it to the baby and say “ plum !plum!” .Plums have soft and smooth skin. Its pulp is juicy, succulent and light blue in color. Plums have sweet and tart taste with pleasant aroma! ( While talking to the baby, keep passing his hands on the fruit )Plums are excellent source of essential vitamins and the mineral potassium. The essential health benefits of Plums are: Anaemia prevention, cure intestinal troubles and anti inflammatory properties. Now..Hold up the blueberries and say: Meanwhile, Blueberries are one of nature’s great treasure! Plump, sweet, with vibrant colors ranging from blue to deep blue and highlighted by a silvery sheen called a bloom. Blueberries are rich in Vitamins “A and K” and folic acid. Their health benefits are: anti oxidant properties, digestive aid and preventing constipation. Both, plum and blueberry are rich source of carbohydrates and minerals and vitamins. They can be used in our daily food plan for preventing some common diseases and illnesses. And both are full of essential nutrients required for your overall fitness and health. Take a plum in your hand and touch the baby’s nose and say: nose! Touch the other parts of the face commenting on them: head, forehead, brows, eyes, hands, fingers, chest, tummy, waist, legs, feet. Put the baby in the seat . Approach the plum next to his nose and say: smell it now ,Mmm! Plum smells savory! Touch the baby’s face . Say : soft ! ! Now, Approach the blueberry next to his nose and say: smell the blueberry now, hey! Blueberry smells sweet! Touch the baby’s face. Say: bumpy! Cut some plums into slices and put them in a bowl. Put some blueberries in another bowl. Put the bowl of plum in front of the baby and allow him to put his hand in the bowl and start touch and mix them, say : juicy and fleshy ! Let him play with slices and mix them together. He will surely squish these fleshy fruits( the baby will get excited and interested while playing especially when he feels the texture of the plums, he will try to put a smashed small piece in his mouth in order to taste it, always supervise the baby while eating to make sure that he is safe!) Guide him by playing and mixing the pieces together. Take the first bowl away and replace it with the bowl of blueberry and repeat the same procedures. Let him do it by himself until he gets tired or not interested . Provide the rest time .
