Kitchen time

Say : Now it’s kitchen time! Let’s go to the kitchen and look for some smelly-tasty vegetable ! Let’s walk to the kitchen! Hold the baby gently under his arms and tenderly swing/walk/carry him to the kitchen. Make the walk fun .Sing (London bridge is falling down) while walking with him….say: here we are. This is our kitchen where we will search for yellow foods! Take a banana from the fruit bowl. Now, open the fridge and bring a yellow pepper! Hold up the pepper and say :” yellow pepper!” Show it to the baby and say “ yellow pepper! ” Yellow pepper is a wonderful combination of tangy taste and crunchy texture. Yellow pepper is mild spicy ,hollow and having thick flesh. (While talking to the baby, keep passing his hands on the fruit ,put it from one hand to another ,make it accessible and touchable for the baby ).This vegetable is low in calories and has zero fat and a good supply of vitamins and minerals. Its important health benefits are: healthy bones and teeth, strong immune system, in addition to antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Now..Hold up the banana and say: Meanwhile “Banana is the most popular fresh fruit in all over the world. It’s a creamy and delicious long thick edible fruit that comes with a safety envelop! Bananas are a healthy source of fiber , potassium and “Vitamin B6”.The essential health benefits of banana are: lowering blood pressure, preserving memory and boosting mood, prevent muscle cramps and ease stomach troubles. Both, yellow pepper and banana are good source of fiber and essential vitamins. Both can help boost your immune system and reduce blood pressure. Finally, both are a perfect addition to your daily food plan. Take the yellow pepper in your hand and touch the baby’s nose and say: nose! Touch the other parts of the face commenting on them: head, forehead, brows, eyes, hands, fingers, chest, tummy, waist, legs, feet . Put the baby in the seat. Approach the pepper next to his nose and say: smell it now ,Mmm! Yellow pepper smells spicy ! Touch the baby’s face . Say : soft ! ! Now, Approach the banana next to his nose and say: smell the banana now, hey! Banana smells delicious! Touch the baby’s face. Say: fleshy! Cut the yellow pepper in slices and put them in a bowl. Cut the banana into thick circles and put them in another bowl. Place the first bowl in front of the baby and allow him to put his hand in the bowl in order to touch and mix them say : Wet! Wet!! Guide him by playing and mixing the slices together.( the baby will get excited while playing especially when he feels the soaking texture of the yellow pepper!) Take the first bowl away and replace it with the bowl of banana and repeat the same procedures. Say: Banana is creamy and mush!.. Let him do it by himself until he gets tired or not interested . Provide the rest time.
