Kitchen time

Say : Now it’s kitchen time! Let’s go to the kitchen and look for some smelly-tasty dried flower ! Let’s walk to the kitchen! Hold the baby gently under his arms and tenderly swing/walk/carry him to the kitchen. Make the walk fun . sing ( hush little baby ) while walking with him….say : here we are. This is our kitchen where we can see food and drinks, learn to cook , and eat Yummy food! We can learn nutrition too! Now we are going to open the kitchen cabinet to find a kind if tea! Reach out and bring some hibiscus dried flowers . Hold up the dry flower and say : hibiscus! Show them to the baby and say “ hibiscus , hibiscus ” . Hibiscus is a bushy plant . Parts of the flower are used to make tea. Various parts of the plant are also used to make jams , spices ,and sauces Habiscus petals have a perfumed , herb-like aroma and a tangy fruity flavor (almost lemon-like ) . Dried hibiscus flowers can be used to make a herbal tea that is ruby red in color and has a sour taste . Therefore, it is also known as “Sour Tea” and has a flavor similar to cranberry . These flowers are red . Look at the color, red , red ! hibiscus flowers are red ! Hibiscus is used as tea for treating colds , heart and nerve disease , swelling (inflammation ),stomach irritation , and disorders of circulation . Hibiscus tea has impressive “ Antioxidant properties . It helps lower levels of “bad” cholesterol , thereby helping to protect against heart disease and can be beneficial for those who suffer from “ blood sugar “ disorder . It has ‘ Anti-inflammatory “ and antibacterial properties since its tea is rich in “Vitamin C” .Also drinking several cups of hibiscus tea may help lower blood pressure , and can help relax the smooth muscle of the intestine . In addition, The fruit acids in hibiscus works like a laxative . Take some dry flowers in your hand and touch the baby’s nose and say: nose .Touch the other parts of the face commenting on them: head, forehead, brows, eyes, hands, fingers, chest, tummy, waist, legs, feet . Put the baby in the seat . Approach the next to his nose and say , smell it now ,Mmm! Hibiscus smells herb-like ! Touch the baby’s face . Say : It’s dry.! Put the baby in the seat . Put some flowers in a bowl . Take the baby’s hand in your hand and help him touch and mix them say : dry ! dry ! Guide him by playing and mixing these leaves together. Let him do it by himself until he gets tired or not interested . Provide the rest time.
