Say: look at this area of land and its buildings (Show a picture of a farm.)It´s a farm! Remember, A farm is an area of land where livestock (animals) are raised and crops (plants) are grown for use as food, fiber, and fuel. (Show the picture of a farmer) Say: A farmer is someone who raises animals and grows crops. Farmers are responsible for all crops and livestock that are needed for us to survive.

Farm animals are those animals that are housed on a farm. Their primary purpose is to produce a product of some kind, whether that is fibers, meat, milk, eggs, and so on. Farm animals are bred for many purposes. (Show the picture of a chicken) Say: Chickens are domesticated fowl which are very commonly kept and found. Their primary purpose is to produce eggs for human consumption or to produce meat. (Show the picture of a goose) Say: geese are among the finest and elegant looking birds that nature has acquainted us with. Amicable, loyal, caring and helpful are the best traits with which a goose is identified. Geese are raised like chickens for their meat or eggs.

(Show a picture of a duck) Say: Ducks are birds. They are related to geese and swans. The duck is the smallest of them all. Ducks, like other animals, are useful to human beings. They provide us with eggs and meat to eat. Ducks provide us with feathers that are used for stuffing quilts and pillows.

( Show the picture of a turkey) Say: The turkey is the largest bird on the farm .Turkey meat is very popular during certain festivals like Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. (Show the picture of a sheep) Say: Sheep are quadrupedal, ruminant mammals typically kept as livestock. Sheep are multi-purpose animals, raised for their meat, milk, wool, hides, and skins. Remember, the world's most famous cheeses are originally made from sheep's milk. (Show the picture of a goat) Say: The goat is among the cleanest of animals, and is a much more selective feeder than cows, sheep, chickens and even dogs. Goats do not eat food that has been contaminated or that has been on the floor or the ground.

(Point to the picture of a cow) Say: Cows are made of treasures from head to toe. They are so generous, only taking nothing but water, grass and grain but in return they are ever-giving. They provide us with milk, dairy products, beef, nutrients, and natural fertilizer. They have a huge impact on our modern lives. That’s why cows are important and should be treated with greater respect.

(Show the picture of a horse) Horses are beautiful, majestic creatures that can quickly capture your heart. Horses are able to perform work such as carrying humans on their backs or be harnessed to pull objects such as carts or plows. If you think about the variety of farm animals that exist, you can easily see how animals can be very useful living tools.

(Show the picture of a dog) Say: . Dogs have many jobs on the farm. They protect livestock from predators, help control mice and rats, and help find lost animals. There are even dogs that help farmers with disabilities do their work. Some dogs are also trained to herd sheep or cattle.

(Show the picture of a cat) Say: Cats are primarily used for their hunting ability and are known to be great stalkers. The need for the farm cat is to keep rodents from consuming or contaminating grain crops stored for later human consumption.

(Show the picture of a Llama) Say: Llamas are domesticated mammals closely related to camels. They are very social animals and live alongside humans filling the role of both working animal and pet. The adorable Llamas have a delightful habit of coming close to sniff strangers.

However, all these animals are not just there to provide us with materials, aid and provisions, they also make wonderful pets which give us lots of pleasure and loyalty.
