Kitchen time

Say: Now it’s kitchen time! Let’s go to the kitchen and look for some smelly- tasty legumes! Let’s walk to the kitchen! Make the walk fun .Sing (roses are red, violets are blue!) while walking with him….say: here we are. This is our kitchen where we can learn more and more nutrition lessons! Now we are going to the table where I have already placed some legumes! Say: “Let’s sit at the table and discover their secrets!” Put the baby in the seat and approach the seat next to the kitchen table. Put the “red, blue, and yellow beans” in front of him to have a closer look at them, also to feel their textures between his hands! Sit next to the baby. Point to the beans and say:”Beans!”These are beans!(point to each color alone) here are blue beans, there are some yellow beans, and in the middle you can see red beans! Let’s start with “yellow beans”. Yellow beans have a pale cornflower colored, stingless pod with a translucent yellow flesh that clings tightly to its petit lime green legumes inside its shell. Yellow bean varieties actually have either a matte or satin finish with nearly a faint hint of wax in their texture. Yellow Wax beans, ideally harvested young, are crisp, succulent and tender firm, with mellow grassy sweet and nutty flavors. Point to the beans and say: Look at the color!”Yellow!” these are yellow beans! Approach the red beans next to the baby and say: With their kidney shaped and deep red color, cooked red kidney beans can liven up a wide range of meals including salads, soups and stews. But did you know that these little legumes can do much more than just that? Packed with protein, soluble (and insoluble) fiber, folate (vitamin B9), magnesium, potassium and a number of other health promoting nutrients, red kidney beans are a true super food. Now, approach the blue beans next to the baby and say: the blue beans are similar to soybeans in both use and nutritional content. Blue beans have cream-colored flesh and a sweet flavor. Like all beans they are good source of fiber, protein, and lot of health promoting nutrients! Point to the beans and say: Look at the color! “Blue” They are blue beans. Blue is the favorite color of all people. It’s nature’s color for water and sky, but is rarely found in fruits and vegetables. Blue's wisdom comes from its higher level of intelligence, a spiritual perspective. Having a personality color blue means you have a deep need for peace and harmony in your everyday life. You are genuine and sincere, and you take your responsibilities seriously! Marvelous! You have learned a lot today, and you have experienced different colors! Now it’s time to take some rest!
