Exploring sounds: iron, plastic, wood, cardboard, ceramic, rock, glass with plastic spoon

sound: Prepare in advance a cutting board and a (object). Say: let's listen to what sound the (object) will make. Remember that soundwaves are created when some energy is applied to the object. Then molecules of the medium start moving pushing other molecules, making them vibrate. That’s how the sound is created. Let's listen to the sound that (object) will create. Take the (object) in your right hand and let it drop on the cutting board. Say: can you hear the sound? Let's do it again! If the baby wants to take the (object) from your hand, let him do so. If the (object) produces no sound, say: the (object is too light and there is too little energy applied on the wood, so we cant hear any sound)
