pictures of purple and yellow animals

Prepare pictures of purple emperor butterfly, purple star fish, yellow fish, and yellow canary in advance,

Say: Look at this animal. (Show a picture Purple emperor butterfly.) This is an insect. Remember, to be classified as an insect, an animal should have an exoskeleton or a hard, shell-like covering on the outside of its body, three main body parts( head, thorax, and abdomen), a pair of antennae on top of their heads, three pairs of legs and two pairs of wings.

(Point to the butterfly) Say: The purple emperor is a distinctive species of butterfly, found in woodlands across Europe. The purple emperor is most well known for the bright blue-purple markings of the wings of the male. Ask: Do you think sweetie that purple butterfly feed from flowers? Aha! So you are not sure! Listen baby. Unlike most butterflies, the purple emperor does not feed from flowers but instead on the honeydew secreted by aphids and on dung, urine and animal carcasses, as well as the sap from oak trees. So it is considered an omnivorous insect. The purple emperor is found inhabiting ancient forests and deciduous woodlands.

Now, (point to the purple star fish) Say: Sea stars, commonly called, "starfish," are not fish. They live underwater but do not have gills, scales, or fins. Purple starfish or ochre sea star is found in the rocky shorelines of the Pacific ocean. In addition to its colorful hue, this large, sturdy echinoderm is known for its healthy shellfish appetite and its ability to live for hours in oxygen-rich shallow water. Ask: Do you know, baby what kind of skin does a starfish have? Yes!! Its body is covered with spine!

Now, Say: Look at this animal. (Show the picture of a yellow fish.)This is a fish. Remember, to be classified as a fish, an animal should have a backbone, so they are vertebrates. They breathe mainly by means of gills. Fish are cold-blooded and have fins, which are used for swimming.

(Point to the yellow fish) Say: Varying in size, bright yellow fins and body are the trademarks of the yellow tang. Small, tightly packed scales on the body give the fish a velvety appearance. The sharp spines near the tail are used for defense and as an anchor in the rocks when sleeping.

The yellow tang is a grazing fish with a diet of almost anything that is green like: algae and wild grass. It is commonly found in shallow reefs, in the Pacific and Indian Oceans, west of Hawaii and east of Japan. What do you think Champ; can we keep the yellow fish in an aquarium? Sure, we can. They are easy fish to take care of and add plenty of color to any environment.

Finally, Say: look at this animal. (Show the picture of a yellow canary). This is a bird.

Remember, to be classified as a bird an animal should have a beak or bill, should have 4 toes on each foot, meaning to be zygodactyl. The bodies of birds are covered with feathers. All birds have two wings and a tail. Remember, all animals move! Wings help birds fly and soar!

(Point to the yellow canary) Say: The Yellow Canary is typically 13 cm in length. Males are almost completely yellow, while females have gray under parts with black wings and yellow flight feathers. Canaries are active, cheerful, beautiful, and have a delightfully lovely song! Do you think ,baby, a yellow canary can be a perfect pet? With such a busy world today, pet canaries can make an ideal companion for many people. Canary birds are colorful and have pleasing personalities. There is nothing like a peaceful, pretty canary song to unravel nerves at the end of the day. We need to take care of Animals and treat them with respect because they are living things just like us, people.
