Kitchen time

Say : Now it’s kitchen time! Let’s go to the kitchen and look for some smelly-tasty fresh leaves ! Let’s walk to the kitchen! Hold the baby gently under his arms and tenderly swing/walk/carry him to the kitchen. Make the walk fun .Sing ( head and shoulders knees and toes ) while walking with him….say : here we are. This is our kitchen where we can see food and drinks, learn to cook , and eat Yummy food! We can learn nutrition too! Now we are going to open the fridge to find some aromatic leaves! Reach out and bring some fresh” rosemary ”. Hold up the fragrant leaves and say: rosemary ! Rosemary is an aromatic green leaves that look like flat pine- tree needles, deep green in color on top while silver-white on their underside with dense, short, woolly hair! Its memorable flavor and unique health benefits makes it an indispensable herb to every kitchen. (While talking to the baby, keep passing his hands on the fresh leaves, make them accessible and touchable for the baby ) Rosemary is green! Look at the color green! green! Rosemary is green! Charming rosemary herb is rich in dietary fiber and contains no cholesterol. It is required for maintaining healthy mucus membranes and skin. These fresh leaves are also a good source of “Vitamin C” that are required for collagen synthesis and boosting immunity. It is also very rich in “B vitamins” which is vital in synthesis and repair DNA and also to prevent major birth defects of the baby brain or spine in pregnant women. It is also a good source of iron, calcium and “VitaminB6”. Apart of culinary and medical purpose rosemary shoots flowers and leaves that are used in ceremonies such as weddings and festivals for decoration. Take some stems in your hand and touch the baby’s nose and say: nose .Touch the other parts of the face commenting on them: head, forehead, brows, eyes, hands, fingers, chest, tummy, waist, legs, feet . Put the baby in the seat . Approach the stems next to his nose and say , smell it now ,Mmm! Rosemary smells pine-like! Touch the baby’s face . Say : It’s cool and prikly.! Put the baby in the seat . Put some rosemary stems in a bowl and put it in front of the baby. The baby will directly put his hand in the bowl in order to touch and mix the fresh leaves say : prikly! prikly ! Here the baby will start to depend on himself in playing and mixing the leaves together ,he may even put a leaf in his mouth (keeping an eye on the baby in this stage is very important) . You will realize that he is mixing the leaves nervously so that he enjoys their coolness .. Let him do it by himself until he gets tired or not interested . Provide the rest time.
